ISAIAH 2:2
2. It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established as the highest of the mountains, and all nations shall flow to it.
What is the mountain of the Lord’s house? We come into His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts and into His courts with praise. We enter His house by going through the gate first. If we are grumpy and feeling sorry for ourselves we will be stuck at the gate.
We enter His courts with praise. If we are upset with Him for any reason, we will be stuck out in the front yard. He is in His house and is inviting us in, but there are rules that must be kept or we will not be invited into His presence. Satan knows how to push our buttons and use others to stop us. If we focus on what we have been given, we soon become thankful and are changed. As we start to sing, our troubles and fears begin to melt away. We have to get our eyes on Jesus and all that He is and off of ourselves and our problems.
This will always be our struggle because our trials continue and change. We are in His school of suffering and until we pass all our tests, we can expect the struggle. Our praise and worship is very important to the Lord. If we omit it we do ourselves great harm. It is in His presence that we receive the power to endure the trials and pains of this world. Satan does not want you to have this power because it will hurt his kingdom. God inhabits the praises of His people, so Satan has to flee. There is great power in His presence.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and Truth. John 4:24 If we are lead by the dictates of the flesh, we will want to run the other way. The flesh is in opposition to God. Rom. 8:7. But if we are led by the Holy Spirit, we will only want more and more of Him. He requires truth in our hearts. Satan will plant all kinds of lies in your mind if you believe what he says. He is the father of lies and God cannot lie.
As we come to Him and pour our hearts out to Him, He is listening and ready to make it all better. We see how gentle and loving He is with all our imperfections. That is when we start to change into, obedient, and willing vessels willing to follow Him at any cost.
Isaiah 24 says in the last days there will be a singing remnant, “But these who have escaped and remain will lift up their voices, they will shout for the majesty of the Lord.”
If Jesus is your hiding place, His promise is to preserve you from trouble and most of the time that will be with a song. One word in a song can change the way you think and feel. It will bring Light to darkness and lift us out of the pit of despair changing our sadness into joy giving us a new song to sing.
I believe the new song belongs to Jesus. I believe it is Jesus. The more we sing, the more sanctified we become. We become His holy vessels. We are in His house on the top of His mountain. Our spiritual eyes are opened, and we see Jesus. He is the answer to our everything. He gradually reveals Himself as we climb higher and higher. As we climb, we get stronger and stronger because of His presence. This is all part of our test and self has to die and that is not easy – but the reward is far greater than our greatest knowledge and understanding of Him for it is — UNSPEAKABLE.
