COMING OF THE BRIDEGROOM PART 3

Psalm 97 says, "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth."  Just look at the increase of earthquake and volcanic activity in recent years.  Could this why there are many sink holes in the US?

As in Moses' day the earth swallowed up His enemies. In Numbers 16 the Lord sent judgment against the men who were complaining about Moses and God. Verse 33 says, "they, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them:  and they perished among the congregation."

Ezekiel 32:18 says, "Son of man wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit."

I believe the last judgment will be a mighty earthquake that will cause the earth to crack large enough to swallow up the wicked after Jesus has smitten them with the sharp sword from His mouth.  This could be the wine press of the wrath of God.  The 7th vial when poured out creates this mighty last earthquake, "...nothing like it has ever occurred since men dwelt on earth, so severe and far reaching was this earthquake." Rev.16:18

In the midst of judgment and gloom will be the holy people, hidden away, protected by God's glory, spiritually raptured but physically on the earth awaiting the bridegroom's call  "They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea.  Wherefore glorify ye the the Lord in the fires."  Isaiah 24:14-15, this is the shout that makes the walls fall.

These are the people of God who kept their garments and were protected, Rev.16:15.  "The Lord will create upon every dwelling place in Zion and upon her assemblies a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory will be a defense.  And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain, Isaiah 4:5-6."  These are the wise virgins.  The bride and her maidens who are waiting for Jesus without spot or wrinkle, protected in the midst of judgment.

How do we prepare to be part of this group?  How do we prepare for the end?  We must place ourselves totally into the Lord's Hand's and humbly admit our great need for Him.  We simply do not have the resources within ourselves to survive.  We need the power of the Holy Spirit everyday to see us through. Today is the day we must learn to rely on Him while things are still calm. He knows what we need and how to prepare us.  Pray with me.  Dear Lord Jesus, We come to you humbly admitting our great need of your strength and power.  We see the signs and know You are coming. Help us to learn to rely on You for our every need so we will be ready for Your glorious return.  Thank You Precious Jesus!
