Rev. 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice: for the marriage of the Lamb is come , and His wife hath made herself ready.

When Jesus comes back on that white horse, He comes to take control of His Kingdom. He will remove all wickedness setting up His Holy Throne from the city of God, the New Jerusalem where He will rule and reign with His new bride for 1000 years.

1Cor. 15:26 says, “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” This is one of the keys to unlock the mystery of the rapture of the Church. Verses 53 -58 tell about how corruption must put on incorruption, then death is swallowed up in victory. We are set free at the end.

1Cor. 15:52 says, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” In 1Thess 4, it says the dead in Christ will rise first then will which are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Since the last enemy to be destroyed is death, we know this happens at the end. Death is defeated by the transformation of the body of Christ. We are now in the process of dying to self and the corruption of sin. As we learn to be led by the Spirit and not the flesh as it says in Romans 8:4-10. We must learn now how to be spiritually raptured before we can be physically raptured at the end.

This means we have to prepare ourselves to be on this earth while the wrath of God is being poured out and creating new heavens and earth while doing away with the old. Jesus prayed in John 17:15 “not that thou shouldest take them out of this world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil.” I believe the Father answered all of Jesus’ prayers.

Matt. 25:13 says, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” The Greek definition of watch means to be vigilant. Vigilant means to be alert to danger. He says watch and pray. If we know the signs of the times and what to expect, we won’t be taken by surprise. The bride has made herself ready. She is at peace. Luke 21 says men’s hearts will fail them for fear because of the things that are coming on the earth. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit will our hearts be strong. He knows how to prepare us for tomorrow. Let us trust Him to do just that.

Isaiah 25 talks about a feast, I believe is the marriage feast. It says He will swallow up death in victory and wipe away tears from all faces. He never says it will be easy. He does say that He will reveal Himself as never before. His glory will be seen. What is His glory but all that He is. His goodness, gentleness, purity, love, beauty, strength, Majesty, Holiness, Power and Might — All these things He will reveal in some beautiful way. There again, we must be prepared to receive all that He is. If we are caught up in the terror that might try to take our eyes off of what we need to focus on, we could miss it all. He says, Be ready!
